Chad Nolte, Accountant III in the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs, was selected as the Texas State Employee of the Month for March 2022.
Outside his normal job duties, Chad has taken on the responsibility for accurate, timely, and thorough accounting and process management for the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs’ Johnson Space Center Engineering & Technical Support (JETS) program. The JETS program is a multi-organizational partnership that supports and interfaces directly with NASA’s Johnson Space Center and Jacobs Engineering and has more than doubled in size and scope in the last eight months alone.
In this role, Chad primarily ensures timely and thorough billing, establishment of accurate and auditable records, monitoring of unusual account or process activity, and compliance with increasingly complex state and federal regulations. The unique nature of this program requires the development and adaptation of internal processes and duties that are outside Chad’s normal positional scope, yet Chad completes these duties with impressive thoroughness and attention to detail.
Chad’s professionalism, efficiency, and dedication have been noted and complimented by external partners on multiple occasions. He is described as a “critical element” in the continued effective execution of this important, high-value, and distinctive program.
Congratulations Chad, on your dedication and hard work, and being recognized as the March 2022 Employee of the Month!
