We’re excited to recognize Araceli Balles, Custodian for Housing and Residential Life, as our April 2025 Employee of the Month.
Araceli plays a vital role in keeping Blanco Hall clean, safe, and welcoming for students. Known for her strong work ethic and upbeat attitude, she approaches each day with pride in her work and a genuine commitment to service.
Even while the team is short-staffed, Araceli continues to rise to the occasion. She takes full ownership of her responsibilities and consistently goes the extra mile to ensure the building is well cared for and that students feel supported.
Her role covers a lot of ground. She maintains two kitchens, three laundry rooms, six study rooms, four guest restrooms, four elevators, eight open areas with furniture, and four entrance and exit doors. Her attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness make a big impact.
“The service she gives to our students is beyond my own expectations. She is dedicated to serving with a good heart,” her nominator shared. “She is compromise, to serve, clean and disinfect the areas for our students, she is a great custodial.”
Araceli, thank you for your dedication and the care you put into every task. Your hard work and heart do not go unnoticed.
Congratulations on being April’s Employee of the Month!
