Always positive and incredibly helpful, Teresa Duggins, Senior Human Resources Analyst in Human Resources, has earned a reputation as someone colleagues can count on without hesitation. For many across campus, Teresa has become a trusted guide and steady presence, especially when navigating the complexities of HRIS and Personal Change Records. Her knowledge, responsiveness, and willingness to walk others through even the most unique situations make a meaningful difference in the day-to-day work of countless teams.
Teresa’s impact is felt most in the way she approaches service. She is known for responding quickly, whether through Teams or email, and for taking the time to explain not just what needs to be done, but why it matters. That clarity helps others feel confident in their work and strengthens the overall process. Her patience and expertise have made her a go-to resource for administrative professionals and colleagues alike, and her support often extends far beyond what is expected.
Collaboration is central to how Teresa approaches her role. She believes in understanding how individual work connects across departments and encourages teamwork as a way to accomplish shared goals. Over the years, her role has helped her grow professionally through strengthening customer service skills, developing and presenting training materials, and working closely with others to improve processes and outcomes. That growth is reflected in the care and consistency she brings to every interaction.
While Teresa does not currently work directly with students, her influence still reaches them through the colleagues and student employees she has supported and supervised over the years. She has encouraged students to build strong skills, develop a solid work ethic, and understand the value of collaboration. She also works closely with colleagues to find better ways to support one another, contributing to a more effective and connected university community.
Outside of work, Teresa enjoys spending time with family and working on her farm. A fun fact many may not know is that farm life has included some very unique animals over the years, from emus and a buffalo to llamas, chickens, goats, and cattle. That same dedication and care she brings to her life outside of work is evident in everything she does at Texas State.
