Diana Connell, Assistant University Registrar in the Office of the University Registrar, was selected as the Texas State Employee of the Month for October 2021.
Diana has worked in the Office of the University Registrar for 11 years and recently assumed the role of Assistant University Registrar. As part of her role, Diana supervises the coordinators for Student Records and Schedule of Classes, trains employees on their teams, and provides assistance to staff members across the university. Diana is considered the go-to person when it comes to registration issues, tuition appeals, and general policies and procedures.
Diana is at the forefront of testing and implementation in her office. She has been a major part of the implementation of major projects such as Banner, Courseleaf, EMS Cloud Service, and many more. She has also been the main person to test new processes, such as the EP grade system that was implemented during the sudden transfer to remote learning last spring due to COVID-19.
While juggling her duties in the Office of the University Registrar, the hardships of the pandemic, and her responsibilities as a mother, Diana graduated with her Bachelor of Business Administration last May, making her both a dedicated staff member and an alum of the university. Her experience as a student and employee gives her an insightful perspective as someone who closely works with faculty, staff, and students.
Congratulations Diana, on your dedication and hard work, and being recognized as the October 2021 Employee of the Month!
